Starting back in the 1600’s, Spanish exporers began planting grapes in present day southern Arizona. Despite the hot desert sun, the soil was similar to their native Spain. After a while, the cooler temperatures in the foothills of the present day Verde Valley became the source of wine production. Today, the Arizona wine industry has flourished with national awards and recognition. How does it work?
We’ll pick you up at the location of your choice; hotel, house, etc.. We can do pick up’s from both the Sedona and Flagstaff areas. Our standard tour, will make stops at three wineries for about 45 minutes each. A wine tasting flight is included at each establishment. The final stop is in Cottonwood and lasts for 90 minutes. We have a reserved table, wine flight and Charcuterie board waiting for you on the hilltop of Merkin Vineyards. Afterwards, guests are encourage to expolre the small, quaint and cute old western town of Cottonwood. Today the downtown area has another half dozen small boutique wineries showcasing the many different winewakers of the region. Guests may choose to take in 1 more tasting at any of these establishments or just do some expolring of this classic old western town. Please note, tasting cost is not included for guest choosing to visit a 4th winery.
Where do we go?
“The Classic” tour will visit 2 of the wineries in Page Springs (Cornville). Depending on availability, these change up. Guests looking to make this a private tour are welcome to request certain wineries once their booking is complete. A member of our staff will work with you to help you make the best choice for your group. The minimum number of participants to make a tour private is 8. Wineries that we can choose from include:

For the 3rd stop we’ll take a short drive into the old western town of Cottonwood. Today Merkin Vineyards Hilltop Winery & Trattoria has built a beautiful facility overlooking the Verde Valley. Your reserved table will be waiting for you along with a paid tasting and a charcuterie board for your group. Once finshed, we encourage guests to explore the quaint downtown area of Old Cottonwood. Shops and another half dozen small boutique wineries exist right on Main St. We’ll reconvene at our designated time and return you to your desired drop off point.
How long is the tour?
For Guest with Pick up locations in the Sedona area, the tour last about 4.5 hours. For guest with pick up locations in Flagstaff, expect a duration of about 5.5 hours due to the longer driving distance. Please note that Flagstaff pick ups do have an additional charge.
Can I customize my tour?
Yes!! Please call into out office and a member of our staff will be happy to assist you in creating an itineray that works for your group.
How much does it cost?
The cost is $189 per person and includes a tasting flight at three wineries and a Charcuterie board at the third stop. Snack and bottled water are available in the vehicle at all times. Fot guests coming feom Flagstaff there is a $75 pick up charge added.

Private Tours
Our private tours allow your group to have all the flexibility that you need. These tours are charged by the hour. Minimum duration is 4 hours. One of our friendly local guides picks you up at your location and then you can go to whichever wineries you choose. Want to do quick tastings and see as many wineries as possible? Great! Prefer to have a more leisurely and relaxed pace? Fantastic! Since you are essentially renting the vehicle by the hour, you can choose you own pace.
Like the idea of a private tour but are not familiar with the area? No Problem! A member of our staff can coordinate with you to help create an itinerary that works for your group. With winery options in Page Springs, Cottonwood, Sedona and Jerome, our private tours are a great way to experience the wineries of the Verde Valley at your own pace.
Rates start at $125/hour with a minimum of 4 hours.
