Tour Overview
Tour Itinerary
Pick up in Flagstaff.
90 minute drive to the South Rim of Grand Canyon National Park.
1st vista is Yavapai point with views of the Colorado river and Phantom ranch.
An easy, leisurely walk along the rim trail that passes historic locations such as the El Tovar Hotel, The Bright Angel trailhead and the Kolb Studio.
Continue to follow the rim of the canyon, making various stops such as Grandview Point and Moran Point.
Our lunch is catered by a local Flagstaff restaurant. We’ll find a good spot to set up and guests can enjoy lunch!
Continuing on, we make stops at Lipan point where guests can see 3 major geologic changes in the course of about 12 river miles.
Our last vista is the famous Desert View Watchtower. Guest willing to climb the 85 steps to the top will be rewarded by being at the highest point of elevation anywhere along the South Rim of the Garand Canyon.
At this vista, we also have the Desert View Trading Post where guests can get Ice Cream and coffee if they so choose.
Our drive home takes us through part of the Navajo Reservation with an optional stop at the Cameron Trading Post.
Departure Info
We pick up from most Flagstaff Hotels.
We can pick up fro AirBnB’s, but it is dependent on the location.
Guests staying outside of town or at AirBnB’s that we do not pick up from, will be picked up at a designated meeting location.
Tour start time is 8:30 am.
Guest will be contacted by our office the day prior to the tour, to get a more exact pick up time. (Depends on group size and the number of different hotel pick ups)
Tour arrives back in Flagstaff at roughly 4:30 – 5 pm.

What to Bring
Comfortable shoes for walking along the rim.
We provide refreshments, but you are always welcome to bring your personal water bottle.
Camera or phone for pictures
Backpack for personal items
In cooler weather, an extra layer or wind breaker as we can be exposed to the wind out on the edge of the Canyon.
Gratuity for guide (10-20% is industry standard)
Will we see wildlife?
While we can’t control the animal sitightings, we regularly see wildlife. Amoung the commonly seen animals are Elk, Deer, Ravens, and Mules.

Is there a Minimum age?
All kids not requiring child seats are welcome.
Is Lunch Provided?
Yes. Lunch is catered by a local Flagstaff restaurant. Guest will be contacted prior to the tour start to choose the lunch option.
What if it seems like it might rain or be cold?
Welcome to the great outdoors! As long as we have visibility, we run the tour. If we have poor or no visibility or the weather conditions present a hazard, we will not run the tour and guests may either re-book for a different date or receive a 100% refund.
When and How should I book my tour?
You can book online or over the phone. We recommend booking as early as possible to ensure availability.
What is the refund Policy?
All tours are fully refundable up to 7 days before the trip date. If inclement weather forces a tour cancellation, guest have the choice of rescheduling or receiving a full refund.
